Swimmers Guide: Barnet Copthall Sports Centre
Used for Barnet Copthall Distance, Sprint and 1500 meets
The centre is set in it's own grounds and has many facilities including an Athletics Stadium and 8 hole pitch & put course. There are 3 pools, an 8 lane 25m competition pool, a diving pool and a 25m shallow training pool, all housed in their own areas.
The main pool's depth ranges from 4ft+ - around 6.6 ft. There is spectator seating along the side of the pool where swimmers can also sit, or swimmers can sit on stepped areas around the rest of the poolside.
Water temperature is kept cool for meets.
Changing facilities: The changing rooms are single sex and lockers are again £1 refundable.
Catering facilities: There is a canteen area which isn't big but they do excellent rolls/sandwiches/cakes which don't work out too expensive and the opening hours are often extended during meets.
There is a large FREE car park.
