Swimmers Guide: Sheffield Masters Short Course Meet

This event is swum at the scoreboard end of the main pool and because there are 25m relays touch pads are used at both ends. In 2008 it ran as an afternoon event starting with a 400m Freestyle. All events are single sex and with the entry not being that big some events only have one or two heats. As with the Rotherham meet the competition is good. No swim down facilities as the other end of the pool is in use. Entry costs are reasonable.

• Lots of events catered for including a 400m.

• Last chance decathlon points earner(late November).

Negatives

• No swim down pool.

Overall - This event is really good if you want to swim short course at Sheffield. It is well run and vital if you need decathlon points at the end of the year.
